The LORD Is His Name

All the day and night,
Our transgressions are before us, O Lord.
Will Israel remain cast down?
Will Judah languish in the ground?
Can the the Image that is broken restored?

Seek Him who put the seven stars and hunter in the sky,
Who turns death's darkness into morning's mirth,
Who darkens day into the night,
Who calls the waters to their height,
And pours them on the surface of the earth.

The LORD is His name,
He is a man of war and mighty in battle.
The LORD does not change,
And he has bared his arm in glorious power,
Casting down the proud from their high towers

If it had not been that the Lord was in our midst,
If it had not been that the Lord walked in our midst
We'd have been swallowed up alive,
We would have drowned, we would have died,
We would be sparrows fainting in the fowler's fist

And if it were not that the Lord is in our midst,
We'd have hired our own souls out for bread.
But he has given us his flesh,
And wandering in the wilderness
He has fed us from the table he has spread.

The LORD is his name,
He is full of compassion and mercy,
His faithfulness proclaim,
He is the bread on which we feast,
He is the offering and priest,
The LORD is His name,
He is a man of war and mighty in battle.
Let his people now proclaim
He has cast our chains aside,
He has filled us with his life,
He has washed us as his Bride,
He is the LORD.
